Assistant Wrangler - Powisset Farm

This position will assist the farm staff in the care of our livestock with a concentration on the management of chickens and pigs. Other tasks may include moving temporary fencing, moving and filling water troughs, tracking forage availability and general barnyard maintenance. The ideal candidate will have experience with livestock and can commit to a weekly schedule. Minimum age: 18.
- Feeding of livestock
- Moving temporary fencing with the help of farm staff
- Moving water troughs and refilling with water
- General barnyard cleaning & maintenance
- Special projects from time to time
- Logging volunteer hours
- Experience working with animals
- Willingness to work with others as well as independently
- Ability to provide own transportation to the farm
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in varying New England weather conditions
- Minimum age: 18; with parent/guardian: 12
Time commitment Schedule to be arranged with farm staff; minimum commitment of 3 months preferred.
