Volunteer nominees for consideration as a charity spokeswoman must be women who are legal residents or U.S. citizens, be at least 16 years old, and be willing to do activities and achievements for at least six (6) months in duration and should be ongoing, thereafter.

Candidate must be able to supply up to three (3) references who can be contacted to verify the scope and extent of the nominee’s volunteer activities.

You must have an ability to meet a previously unmet community need or concern. Community needs are broadly defined as providing food, shelter or access to health care; providing arts programming or activities; strengthening educational programs; or providing enrichment activities that benefit children.

You must have an innovative or interesting approach to meeting community needs, as well as to your employment of unique solutions to problems.

You should have a compelling story and your work volunteer work should inspire others to discover their power to make a contribution to society.

Every Friday, WHOmentors.com, Inc. hosts an orientation from 4PM to 5PM and 5:30PM to 6:30PM at 99 S Almaden Blvd, San Jose, CA. 95113.. In your communication, indicate which time you prefer to attend. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

NOTE:

In determining whether a [volunteer] has provided services to a particular [501(c)(3)] organization, courts consider the strength of the [volunteer]'s affiliation with the organization, the organization's ability to initiate or request services from the [volunteer], the organization's supervision over the [volunteer]'s work, and the [volunteer]'s accountability to the organization. See, e.g., Smith v. Commissioner, 60 T.C. 988 (1973); Saltzman v. Commissioner, 54 T.C. 722 (1970).
