We thank you for your interest in volunteering with Oakland First Fridays!
We are looking for non-profit organization that can provide volunteers for Oakland First Fridays street festival. The volunteers will greet guests as they enter the festival and ask for donations. We are looking for friendly, positive and outgoing participants.
There is a required gates orientation which are usually held on Wednesdays (timers are flexible) at our office (2633 Telegraph Ave, Oakland).
Through this partnership, you have the opportunity to increase your online presence, engage with the community, improve public relations, and earn money toward any cause within your organization!
We are looking for volunteers every first Fridays of each month. Let us know what month you are interested in or if you would like to volunteer for several months.

Oakland First Fridays volunteers will receive a free OakFF T-Shirt after their first shift, free food whenever they volunteer, community hours, and resume building skills!
About Oakland First Fridays:
Oakland First Fridays is an immersive art and community experience on the first Friday of each month from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Telegraph Avenue from West Grand to 27th Street. Oakland's KONO district springs to life with for this event, with galleries, artist collectives, street artists, local culinary artisans, performers, musicians, dancers, DJ’s, and poets gathering for Oakland First Friday events.
Oakland First Fridays provides thousands of people from across the Bay Area and beyond with encounters and experiences with local art forms, inspiration, food, music, and the energy of the electric city of Oakland, California.

Every First Friday from 5 PM to 9 PM, Oakland's cultural art community springs to life with a variety of street vendors, including Street Artists, Culinary Artisans, Local Artisans, Poets, Galleries, Artists Collectives and Literary Events; performers such as Musicians, Dancers, Live Painters, Comedians, and DJ’s, etc; creating the opportunity for these amazing vendors to gain exposure and sell their work.Every month up to 20,000 people come from all around the Bay Area and beyond to experience a variety of artistic expressions, be inspired, eat great food, enjoy live music, and stroll through the amazing, eclectic culture of Oakland First Friday and the city of Oakland.
