Volunteers needed for the annual La Jolla Art & Wine Festival. An event of over 40k people throughout the street of Girard Ave in La Jolla. Event features over 150 artists from across the U.S. and Mexico with a variety of creations. Look forward to viewing the art, a kids lab and creation center, wine & beer garden, gourmet marketplace, live entertainment, music and silent auctions.
We assist with the pet adoptions. Between the 2017 & 2018 years, the LJAWF had over 70 cats and dogs adopted throughout the 10 rescue organizations placed throughout the streets of Girard; not including the additional adoption applications.
Not only is this a great opportunity for volunteers to enjoy the Festival but we need help with directing and assisting the rescues with loading and unloading, providing fresh water to shelter dogs and patron dogs, passing treats out and other duties. Assistance can also be utilized prior to the event with contacting rescues to invite to participate. Most of all, we want you to have fun! All of our efforts are dedicated to finding these animals their forever homes and ensuring that patron dogs have lots of love and fun!

Mission Statement
Assisting companion animal rescue efforts by providing resources to existing rescue agencies. This is accomplished by outreach, volunteer management, adoption events, education and financial assistance.
Description
Not all shelters have the support, education nor time to meet their fundraising, expansion and event attendance goals. Wagging Wishes assists rescues with reaching their goals for specific projects. We also collaborate with large San Diego based event productions to add an additional feature of adoptions along with hosting our own events free-of-charge. If available, volunteers can also be provided to assist when needed.
