ORGANIZATION: NAVY-MARINE CORPS RELIEF SOCIETY

Are you comfortable speaking in public? We have various opportunities within the military community specifically on Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point (must have a base access).

  • Informational Briefs (15 minute-brief to let Marines and Sailors know about our programs)
  • Basic Financial Briefs (60 to 90 minutes educational workshop with basic financial education for service members)
  • Budget For Baby Workshop (2-hour workshop to educate expecting parents about the financial impact their babies bring to their household and provide saving tips)
  • Informational Tables (Inform any potential clients and volunteers about our programs at various events on MCAS Cherry Point)
Hours are flexible, child care and mileage are reimbursed.
*Must have a military base access such as DoD issued ID card (must be within 30 miles radius of MCAS Cherry Point NC)

To provide, in partnership with the Navy and Marine Corps, financial, educational, and other need-based assistance to active-duty and retired Sailors and Marines, their eligible family members, and survivors.

Description

As a non-profit, volunteer service organization, we use both financial and non-financial resources to identify solutions to meet emerging needs. We help clients improve personal financial skills and encourage individual financial responsibility.
