GOAL/IMPACT

Crossing the finish line. Scoring a point. Celebrating with the team. Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC) is dedicated to moments such as these, because it is through these moments our athletes find strength, success, confidence, and joy. SOSC Street Team Members are the boots on the ground and help us spread the word about SOSC to motivate others to come to events and support our athletes. Street Team Members set-up fun booths at various community events and attract visitors with fun games, contests, and information.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In partnership with SOSC staff, raise community awareness of SOSC mission, goals and needs
  • Identify various community events that would be appropriate for SOSC info booth. Examples include: farmer’s market, chamber events, resource fairs, large holiday events, community sporting events, etc.
Set up/break down of booth at events; assist with booth activities like contests and games, distribute appropriate SOSC marketing materials and replenish materials when needed
