Bones & Booze is the Las Vegas Natural History Museum's annual, summer charity event to raise funds for multiple LVNHM education programs. The evening is a mixer filled with "small bites", cocktails, and entertainment donated by local businesses.
The Museum needs a variety of volunteers to help with multiple shifts (some shifts require volunteers to be age 21+).
*Friday, June 21 (11:00 am - 2:00 pm): Volunteers will be setting up tables and chairs, and relocating items in the Museum. It will be manual labor, so be prepared to lift and bend. Wear comfortable clothing, and closed toe shoes. Great for groups; all ages.
*Friday, June 21 (2:00 pm - 5:00 pm): Volunteer will help get final preparations finished. It will be manual labor, so be prepared to lift and bend. Wear comfortable clothing, and closed toe shoes. Great for groups; all ages.
*Friday, June 21 (9:00 pm - 12:00 am): We need volunteers to help with event tear down at 10:00 pm. However, we encourage volunteers to arrive at 9:00 pm to enjoy the party and help out with the event. We will have some reserved parking for volunteers at the Museum ( 21+, great for groups)
There is some flexibility with the shifts if volunteers cannot stay the whole time.
If you want to have fun while supporting a wonderful museum, please sign up to volunteer!
Dress code: Volunteers will most likely be doing manual work so closed toe, flat shoes are required for all shifts. For set up shifts - clothing you can move around in (if you are volunteering with a group you are welcome to wear that organization's shirt), jeans/shorts are fine. Event shifts - Volunteers are more than welcome to dress up but shoes will still need to be closed toe with no high heel. We are requesting to stay away from dresses/skirts.
Volunteers will be representing the Museum, so please dress accordingly. Attire should have nothing vulgar/offensive/inappropriate on it. Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator if you have questions about the Dress Code.
