Offer support and company to those who need it the most. Bella Care Hospice is welcoming new volunteers to spend time with hospice patients for friendship and companionship. Read someone a book or the news, play a game, share stories, or take someone outside to enjoy the weather. You have the ability to brighten someone's day with nothing but your time! Sometimes just being present with those who are no longer able to engage can make a huge difference.

We have opportunities in Sunbury, southern Delaware county and northern Columbus. We will work to find an opportunity near you. We want volunteering to be easy and convenient for you. Our schedule is very flexible.

You do not need to have any experience or a specific skill set; we will provide training and support. We want to set you up for success and will be here to help you each step of the way.

Mission Statement

The mission of Bella Care Hospice is to affirm and celebrate the significance of human life and recognize dying as a natural process. We carry out this mission by providing superior health, social, emotional and spiritual services to enhance the quality of life with peace and dignity for patients and support for families.

Volunteers are valued members of the Bella Care Hospice team. You can make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families while adding meaning to your own life.

Visit patients in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and inpatient hospice homes. Volunteers donate 4-12 hours a month visiting patients. Volunteers can do a variety of activities with patients such as reading, listening, hand holding, praying, painting their fingernails, doing crafts, singing, brushing their hair, pet therapy, massage therapy and more!
