Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation and the Nevada Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation come together every summer for Camp Independent Firefly. CIF is one of the most popular and effective ways children, ages 7-17, from both organizations have the opportunity to experience summer fun in a medically supervised setting, all while meeting new friends, forgetting about their illness and creating wonderful childhood memories.
Camp takes place in BIG BEAR, CA.
Our Camp program attracts a diverse group of individuals ranging in age and background. We are looking for high energy, creative volunteers, desiring to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the life of a child. We seek volunteers who are leaders, prepared to work hard, care for others, be responsible, build positive relationships and have the best week of their lives!
