A dozen years ago Domus opened Kellie's Garden, an urban outdoor garden that was used to teach our middle school kids the plant life-cycle. Briefly, we raised greens for kids' lunches. In its latest iteration the garden has become a micro-revenue source, growing micro-greens for a local restaurant. A year ago a grant afforded us the opportunity to upgrade our raised beds. But maintaining a garden is labor intensive and our small Work & Learn staff is unable to keep up with the planting, weeding, and harvesting. Do you like bringing green things to life? Are you part of a gardening club and have a social justice bent? Are you itching to get your hands in dirt again? We are looking for a group or an individual to help weed and water one day a week, our 12 organic outdoor beds on Lockwood Ave.

We are flexible, will work with your schedule. Weekday or weekends are fine. Approximate volunteer time needed: 1 or 2 hours a week during the growing season (April to October).
