The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is looking for volunteers who want to provide education and peer support to neighbors who are in need. Volunteers love the meaningful relationships they build with the individuals they meet and knowing they were able to make such a positive impact in someones life by teaching them valuable life skills that they can use forever.

Location of work: Ypsilanti near the corner of Ecorse and S Harris.

Timeframe: 12 weeks. Attend a 2 hour meeting once a week in person, plus communicate with the person you are acting as an ally to one a week over phone, text, or email outside of the class.

Tasks: Help individuals with goals, budgets, conflict resolution, etc. Offer encouragement and support. Act as a sounding board and friend.
