ORGANIZATION: Springwell

BayPath Elder Services is currently looking for Meals on Wheels kitchen help at our Framingham, MA meal site. The kitchen helpers assist the site staff in packaging bread and dessert for about 150 homebound seniors in Framingham. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, volunteers assist in serving a congregate luncheon on site, 11:30-12:30, to older adults who can drive to the meal site. Meals are prepared Mon-Fri and the time for volunteering is somewhat flexible depending on volunteer availability. Volunteers typically help 1 morning per week. A background check is required.

Currently: we have kitchen volunteer openings on Monday (to help with the congregate luncheon and food preparation) and Thursday (food preparation only).

Springwell, Inc., a private, non-profit organization, is part of a statewide network of Aging Services Access Points and nationwide network of Area Agencies on Aging that coordinate care services to enhance the quality of life for older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their families. Services include homemaking, personal care, grocery shopping, home delivered meals, transportation, and more. Volunteers provide vital help delivering meals, doing grocery shopping, visiting with isolated older adults, helping with budgeting and monthly bills, and advocating for those living in nursing homes.
