New Moms is a nonprofit headquartered on the west side, serving the Chicago metropolitan area. We work to interrupt the generational cycle of poverty for young mothers and their children. We live our mission by providing stable housing, family support, and job training. We are looking for charismatic, detail-oriented, and compassionate volunteers for our front desk. Primary responsibilities include answering the phone, phone referrals, managing the entry at the front door, and supporting staff with administrative tasks.
Volunteers must attend an orientation to learn more about New Moms, tour the building, and complete a background check.

Our mission is to express the love of God by surrounding young moms and their children with all they need to transform their lives. With your help we can break the cycle of poverty and change the future for young moms who are experiencing poverty and homelessness in Chicago.
Description
New Moms equips struggling, impoverished adolescent parents (aged 13-24) and their children with the personal and workforce development tools they will need, to permanently change their life stories from chronic dependence on society, to economic independence and family stability.
