Help Care for Therapy Horses
We Can Ride Inc. offers equine-assisted activities and therapy lessons for those with special needs and disabilities. Our horses work hard to enable our riders to learn horseback riding. Help them by volunteering to feed and care for them.
If you have a background and comfort with horses and are at least 18 years old, we would love to connect with you.

We Can Ride, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, volunteer-based organization whose mission o improve the lives of individuals with disabilities or special needs through equine assisted activities.
At We Can Ride, equine-assisted Therapeutic Riding is for individuals from six years old to 70 years young. These classes are taught by PATH International Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructors with the help of our Therapists. Along with the many therapeutic benefits of being on a moving horse, our goals are to teach horsemanship skills. Clients may also learn to groom, lead, saddle and mount their horses. Class sizes are from three to six and include the use of one to three volunteers per client.
We Can Ride’s Hippotherapy program involves a credentialed physical or occupational therapist working one-on-one with the client to reach traditional therapy goals without teaching specific riding skills. The therapist works with a certified instructor to create the type of movements from the horse to meet the specific treatment goals. Trained volunteers also help with balance and postural corrections.
We'll work with your schedule.
