Mission Statement
The Little Brother Little Sister Program is based on the concept that young people can benefit from that influence of a consistent, positive role model. By matching suitable adults with youth In the community positive this one-to-one friendship will be established. This relationship will help in meeting the needs of youth for acceptance, understanding, and guidance. "SHOW A CHILD YOU CARE."
Description
The Little Brother Little Sister Program helps youth between the ages of 4 and 14. Volunteer mentors are asked to spend probably 4 hours a month with their "Little." Mentors are matched to meet the individual needs of the child. Matching of youth and volunteer is made on the basis of interest, and the ability of the volunteer to meet any particular needs the youth may be experiencing. Free group activities are provided for program participants throughout the year. We encourage you to find other free activities in your area such as local sporting events, church events, going to the park, help with homework, ice-skating, etc.
