Volunteer Info:
Volunteers will lead five, 30 to 45-minute sessions from the JA More than Money program in a special education middle school classroom. Volunteers may lead a program individually or pair with a colleague to "team teach". JA programs are facilitated during the school day, in the classroom. Teachers remain in the class to support the volunteers. Volunteers check-in at the school office before instruction.

Program Info:
JA More than Money introduces third-, fourth-, and fifth-grade students to financial literacy and entrepreneurship, and to social studies learning objectives that include money-management skills, goods and services, and global markets. Through hands-on activities and a JA cast of characters serving as symbols for financial literacy and entrepreneurship concepts, students will learn a practical approach to starting a business and making smart decisions about managing money.

Junior Achievement of Northern California (JA) achieves this mission through teaching students about their expanding roles as individuals, consumers, employees, employers, and productive members of our society.
