Member Duties : The VISTA will focus on volunteer engagement by recruiting, training, and helping sustain volunteers for the After School Program (ASP) for refugee youth. CCA needs engaged and committed volunteers to work with students on language acquisition. The VISTA will also assist in creating best practices for Refugee Resettlement Services' (RRS) staff. The member will address two principal needs of RRS, both related to building capacity in a new refugee resettlement landscape. The VISTA will help build capacity to sustain a program serving fewer new arrivals, as well as increase services to refugees. The other key component for the position is to help create the process, procedures, and manual for staff and volunteers to complete quarterly case file record reviews. The member will also monitor and update social media platforms for RRS in order to spread visibility to potential community partners and volunteers.
