Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Inland Empire United Way

Encourage a love of reading for students by celebrating Read Across America Day at Date Elementary School in Fontana! ieReads works to ensure that more children in the Inland Empire are reading at grade level by the end of the 3 rd grade. The National Educational Association (NEA) began Read Across America Day in 1998, a day which promotes reading, particularly for children and young adults.

As a volunteer, you will read to groups of 15-30 students in grades pre-K - 6 th. We are looking for energetic volunteers who are comfortable reading/speaking in front of groups, and working with children. Come out and help raise more readers in the Inland Empire!
