Communities of HEALing (COH) is looking for support group facilitators. Are you recovered from an eating disorder and looking for a way to support others on their recovery journey? Apply to be a group facilitator! COH support groups bring together a diverse group of individuals to form a community of strength, courage and perseverance. No prior experience necessary; we provide the training. What we do ask is that you have the lived experience, a compassionate heart and a minimum of three available hours a week. Mission Statement
Project HEAL is a 501(c)3 non- profit organization that provides access to healing for all people with eating disorders.
Description
Since its founding in 2008, Project HEAL has provided over 100 applicants with access to live-saving treatment for their eating disorder, established over 30 Chapters and 25 Ambassadors bringing Project HEAL's mission and values to communities across the United States, and developed partnerships with more than 30 recognized eating disorder treatment providers across the US. The primary function of Chapters is to serve as robust local recovery communities that offer resources for those affected by eating disorders and opportunities to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of those affected by eating disorders.
We are an organization with a large volunteer base and have many volunteer opportunities available year-round. We are always looking for new people who have an interest in and passion for helping others suffering from eating disorders, poor body image, and low self-esteem.
