ORGANIZATION: Pruitt Health Hospice & Palliative Care

Pruitt Health Hospice & Palliative Care is in search of kind and reliable individuals with an interest in serving those with advanced and terminal illnesses. We have both direct patient care roles and office/clerical roles. Hospice volunteers are a vital part of the hospice team. Volunteers provide respite care for caregivers, companionship to patients, and support to staff. YOU make your schedule and can volunteer as much as you like. We provide comprehensive training, so if you have never worked with hospice patients, don't worry! The training is online and self paced and is easy to fit in your schedule. Our Volunteer Coordinator is always available to you and will work with you to find the best fit so you ENJOY your time!

Description

When medical treatment cannot offer a cure, hospice provides care, comfort and support for persons with end-stage conditions so that they may live life as fully and comfortably as possible. A specially trained team of professionals and caregivers focus on all aspects of a patient's wellbeing, including his or her physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. Services may include physical care, counseling, drugs, equipment, and supplies for the terminal illness and related conditions.
