A Family For Every Child

Be a part of A Family For Every Child 's faith-based partners and seek to foster our relationships with current and new connections. This is a great skill building opportunity to grow these relationships as well as make a real difference in the life of foster, at-risk, and homeless youth in our community and foster youth nationwide.

Some of the tasks you perform include:

  • Connect with faith-based organization in communities across Lane County
  • Determine a timeline, formulate a plan
  • Schedule meetings to discuss opportunities to discuss our programs with members, tabling, and other forms of outreach
  • Attend meetings to discuss our programs and how individuals and families can be involved in our mission and participate in our programs
  • Utilize GSuites products such as spreadsheets, documents, calendars to plan, organize and promote our programs to the community
  • Coordinate all contacts with others in the office through appropriate and detailed tracking in our database as well as across multiple calendars, spreadsheets or other documents

A Family for Every Child is dedicated to finding loving, permanent families for every waiting foster child." Our intention is to develop programs that assist special-needs/challenging-to-place foster children in finding their own Forever Families.

Description

A Family For Every Child, a nonprofit organization, was started by Christy Obie-Barrett and dozens of dedicated and passionate volunteers. In 2006, AFFEC was formed and developed into an organization focused on finding permanent and loving adoptive homes for Oregon's waiting children. We started with our first project called The Heart Gallery in November, 2006, and now we have blossomed into ten incredibly successful programs. None of this could have occurred without the wonderful support from thousands of volunteers, sponsors, in-kind donors, photographers, and many more!
