Flexible opportunity: Help deliver meals to seniors and people with disabilities-from as little as 1 hour a month, to as often as you like!
Volunteers are needed every weekday-but one person doesn't have to do it all: just an hour a month can make a big difference, and the need for volunteers is growing every day, as more people need help to remain independent and in their own homes. Meal delivery is the most adaptable volunteer opportunity in the Twin Cities; it's simple, flexible, and very rewarding. Team up to deliver with a friend, or even your grandchild.
Delivering meals involves driving to the program site, picking up 8-10 meals, and delivering them to as many residences. The typical delivery route takes 45-60 minutes to complete, and our local programs will work with you to schedule your volunteer delivery around your availability. Volunteer just once-or schedule a regular day of the week or month to come in and volunteer.
-Hours: Monday through Friday between 11am-1pm. -Delivery takes about an hour.
-Don't want to deliver? Food packers are also needed to prepare meal packs for drivers.
-Choose a program site near your home or office.
-Work as little as 1 hour a month, or as often as you like. There are a variety of metro locations.
