Cambridge Community Rehabilitation & Environmental Protection (CCREP) is seeking a volunteer fundraiser and social media manager.

Time commitment is 2 to 3 hours per week.

The ideal volunteer will be sincere, compassionate and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities include initiating fundraising campaigns and seeking out potential donors. Social media management tasks would focus primarily on building a Facebook following. Creating a presence on Twitter, Instagram and other social media is optional.

CCREP's mission is to strengthen and transform people in vulnerable conditions in Eastern Uganda to support a healthy, productive and sustainable community. We are an Evangelical NGO that provides education, vocational training, care for children with disabilities, environmental initiatives, and more.

Mission Statement

Our vision is to have a God fearing, healthy and self-sustaining community through churches, education centres, and livelihood centres. Our objectives: 1. Provide orphaned children with an environment conducive for their development and growth. 2. Provide basic and skills oriented education to the children and their caretakers to enable them earn a living. 3. Provide adequate health care and protection from diseases and ill health condition. 4. Mold and bring up children who are God fearing to disseminate the gospel of the word of Jesus. 5. Provide a safe shelter and family-like environment for orphans and other vulnerable children who have no one else to take care of them. 6. Reduce vulnerability by providing support for caretakers and the families of vulnerable children in field such as education, health, family planning.

Description

Cambridge Community Rehabilitation & Environmental Protection ( CCREP) supports the disadvantaged communities in Eastern Uganda with its head office located in Jinja district.

We believe in helping the people of the community to push them out of poverty and reduce the spread of diseases which are the key factors to the great suffering of mankind in Uganda. CCREP has a team of reputable members who review project ideas and approve them only if in agreement that the projects would benefit the community and that they would work. Our openness about ideas and how things are being run make us transparent and have great success.

We are a ministry and how we treat the money we receive is just as important as the people we are helping. Our openness and strong beliefs have created an environment that is very productive and beneficial for everyone involved.

We succeed by combining ideas and efforts. We want you to see how together we can change the lives of the people of Uganda.

Our Programs:
  1. We educate our communities about the importance of household hygiene, personal hygiene, and sanitation.
  2. We support the environment by planting trees and fruits.
  3. We carryout door to door evangelism, spiritual healing, counseling and guidance.
  4. We provide vocational skills training for youths, sponsorship of basic education for children and health education for communities.
