Your local American Cancer Society is now recruiting volunteers for Day of Event and/or Event Leadership Committee. Our mission at the American Cancer Society is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer and you can help towards this accomplishment.

Year round we recruit volunteers whom are interested in being part of our society. Below are the descriptions

Day of Event Volunteer: Help the day of our fundraising events in areas that interest you. We have the following areas: Registration, Survivor Tent, Activities, Luminaria Ceremony, Engagement, Games, Sponsorship assistant, and much more. The only commitment is to be available and be on time day of event, commitment can be certain hours or all hours during event. Great opportunity for students looking into Community Service Hours.

Event Leadership Committee: Help with the logistics, planning behind the scene of our local events. The Event Leadership Committee helps with the planning of the events, they are in constant communication via email or meetings. For this role, we ask that volunteer commit to assisting at least 3 ELT meetings in person. Show engagement with participation of ideas, communication, and show initiative in making these local fundraising events a success!!! Roles to be fulfilled include:

-Survivorship Lead

-Sponsor Lead

-Facilities/Logistics

-Registration and Accounting

-Entertainment and Activities

-Awards

-Online Marketing

-Luminaria
