Great Lakes Caring Hospice is seeking Veterans to provide companionship to our Veteran patients.
Great Lakes understands the brotherhood of Veterans, the bond that others can’t understand.
Our Veterans served this country and now they need us!
Great Lakes is a leader in the Midwest in hospice care. We are proud to be a part of the "WeHonor Veteran’s" program, a nationally recognized organization which supports and provides resources to our Veteran’s at the End of Life.
Our Vet-to-Vet program actively recognizes our Veteran’s. We provide our Veteran’s with acknowledgement and thanks through regular Veteran pinning’s, Veteran ceremonies on Veterans day, Veteran Certificates and a gratitude for what they have done for us and this country every day.

Time is limited, yet of eternal value. What makes it so is how you use it and to whom you give it. Share your gift of time with a patient on their end-of-life journey. No special skills are necessary, just a listening ear and an open heart. It will be some of the most rewarding time you’ll ever spend.
Elara Caring Hospice is currently looking for Volunteers: Companion Volunteers, Pet Therapy, Veteran Volunteers, Office Volunteers, and Crafting Volunteers. We have patients in need in outlying areas as well as the Grand Rapids Area. These areas include Grand Rapids, Big Rapids, Wayland/ Hastings, Greenville, Rockford, Holland, and Saugatuck/Douglas.
