Elara Caring Hospice is seeking Companionship volunteer to sit with our Hospice patients.
This is a very flexible schedule; we work around you! You can give as little or as much time as you want!
Training is involved, to ensure you and your patient get the most out of the experience.
We do require the following
- Must be at least 17 years old (to provide direct companionship)
- Must be at least 16 years old (to provide support in our office)
- Must complete a drug test
- Must have a background check
- Must have fingerprints done

Time is limited, yet of eternal value. What makes it so is how you use it and to whom you give it. Share your gift of time with a patient on their end-of-life journey. No special skills are necessary, just a listening ear and an open heart. It will be some of the most rewarding time you’ll ever spend.
Elara Caring Hospice is currently looking for Volunteers: Companion Volunteers, Pet Therapy, Veteran Volunteers, Office Volunteers, and Crafting Volunteers. We have patients in need in outlying areas as well as the Grand Rapids Area. These areas include Grand Rapids, Big Rapids, Wayland/ Hastings, Greenville, Rockford, Holland, and Saugatuck/Douglas.
