Our clients, adults with disabilities, choose a group outing each month from a list of approximately 21 choices ranging from concerts to sports events to shopping to dinners, and more. Our volunteers also choose which outing they are the most interested in for that month. Each outing has a staff member attending along with one to two volunteers. The job of the volunteers is to assist with supervision and to interact with the clients.
Please see our events schedule at www.kenandersonalliance.org
NOTE: You must register as a volunteer before attending any scheduled outings.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Ken Anderson Alliance is to create live, work, and play opportunities for adults with disabilities.
Description
The Ken Anderson Alliance was formed by two non-profits, the Ken Anderson Foundation and Lighthouse Landing, when they discovered they had the same mission and vision. Ken Anderson had begun his foundation when he discovered the lack of services for his nephew Drew, an adult with severe autism. Lighthouse Landing was initially formed by a group of parents concerned about the future for their Down Syndrome children. Currently the PLAY program is a reality serving 160 adults each month through approximately 25 outings. There are two pilots started for WORK and land is being purchased for LIVE.
