As an AFS Volunteer, you’ll increase your understanding of different cultures and form close bonds with like-minded people in your community. Our Area Team is always looking for new volunteers who are passionate about international and intercultural experiences for kids ages 13-18 and beyond. We have roles for guiding international students and host families, planning local events and orientations, building connections with schools and helping students prepare to go abroad. AFS works toward a more just and peaceful world by providing international and intercultural learning experiences to individuals, families, schools, and communities through a global volunteer partnership.
Description
The Dayton Team of volunteers aims to promote intercultural learning through the placement of foreign exchange students in area high schools, as well as recruiting and preparing American students to study abroad. Our task is to provide support and activities for the students, and work with host families and natural parents to fully support our students and programs.
