Steam-o-torium is a monthly program where children ages 5-12 investigate the world through hands-on experiments, challenges, and designs.
Volunteers will assist library staff with the preparation of program materials prior to the event and as assistants on the day of the program.
Various tasks include set up and clean up, preparing enough materials for 50 participants, and creating up to two demo models for presentation prior to program. Volunteers will be asked to give input on various program aspects and assist with aiding a wide range of ages during program.
Attendance is mandatory on program days (3rd Saturday of the month) unless prior notification given. Volunteer hours are also available for program preparation the two weeks prior to the program day. Preparation hours are done at the volunteer's convenience in coordination with the program leader.
