Keep Phoenix Beautiful is a 501c(3) non-profit organization. Our vision is a vibrant Phoenix where each neighborhood is healthy, beautiful place to live. To achieve our vision, we aim to inspire individuals and other organizations through leadership, active partnerships, and meaningful volunteer experiences.

This volunteer opportunity is perfect if you are passionate about recycling, enjoy working with children, and willing to become Keep Phoenix Beautiful's mascot for a day!

Our organization has a very popular recycling mascot named Recyclesaurus. He is a recycling dinosaur and we want YOU to be Recyclesaurus for our school presentations. These presentations are about 20-30 minutes from start to finish. Recyclesaurus has NO SPEAKING PARTS, but still gets to interact with students through waving, high fiving, nodding, and politely gesturing throughout the presentation. Remember that a Recyclesaurus volunteer SHOULD bring water, be animated, and have fun! Recyclesaurus volunteers SHOULD NOT talk while in costume, wear heavy clothing, or scare the children.

Recyclesaurus presentations are only available for Pre-K through 2nd Grade classrooms. Presentation locations vary throughout the valley and are primarily done on weekdays during school hours (typically between 8:30AM and 4PM).
