Description of Project/Purpose:
Escape Velocity is a futuristic world’s fair to promote STEAM education within the context of science fiction using the fun of comic cons and fascination of science and engineering festivals. This is a 3-day event featuring over-the-horizon technology and panels on hard science and pop culture. Escape Velocity is a 100% volunteer-run event, programmed by the Museum of Science Fiction. We rely on your help to achieve our mission.
How You Can Help:
We are looking for volunteers to work in 4-hour shifts starting Thursday night until Sunday evening. Your duties will be assigned according to your abilities and interests, and can include: registration, hospitality, security, programming, and so on . No experience necessary - Just a willingness to join us in our mission. However, if you have special skills that you would like to share with us, please let us know so that we can place you on the right team! Please find our volunteer policies listed on the bottom of the volunteer registration page.
