Wenatchee Empty Bowls Dinner

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Chelan Douglas Community Action Council

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort to fight the growing issue of food insecurity and hunger across the world through artistic expression, community engagement, and education on how to contribute to hunger relief actions. Wenatchee Valley Empty Bowls is an annual event designed to bring together the community through creative expression and hunger relief education. The event is a fundraiser for the NCW Food Distribution Center which distributes food to local food banks and programs.

At the Empty Bowls Dinner on March 2nd at Wenatchee High School, participants will join together in a simple soup and bread dinner to discuss hunger relief efforts in the Wenatchee Valley. There will be a silent auction, raffle, and live performances.

Volunteers will be needed to help set-up for the event between 3:00 pm- 5:00 pm on March 2nd. Volunteers will also register guests as they enter the event, make sure they find the correct bowl, serve soup, bread, and dessert to guests, and help with clean-up after the event is over. The event will last from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm on the night of March 2nd.

For questions or to register to volunteer please contact Molly Draben at Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council at mollyd@cdcac.org or (509) 662-6156 ext. 268.

Thank you!
