Description
Junior Achievement of Southern California is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Our three pillars of success: entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness, are helping prepare young people for the real world by showing the economic relevance of staying in school, building self-confidence, and inspiring them to dream big for their futures.
At JA Finance Park, students are given a unique life profile after answering a series of future lifestyle questions. Their life profile includes an income, marital status, even kids! Using this new adult persona, students work to create a balanced monthly budget while making decision regarding housing, transportation, insurance, savings, entertainment expenses and much more.
