Please RSVP or direct questions to Natalia Nekrasova at (614) 486-9253.

Our group has done many work trips to the Lake Katherine preserve and enjoyed its clear waters, sandstone cliffs, and rich Appalachian forest. This year we are called upon for re-routing a trail, building a bridge, and installing a bench. We will need a day and a half to complete the project and will stay in the area overnight. There will be a lot of opportunities to enjoy the nature and see unique features of the area. The preserve manager will lead us on an off-trail hike to explore a hidden ravine featuring an impressive waterfall.

All skill levels are welcome. Please call Natalia Nekrasova by the Monday preceding the trip at (614) 486-9253 to sign up, reserve space for transportation, and to help us determine tool requirements. Bring your lunch for Saturday, water, work gloves, appropriate foot gear, and camping equipment. Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast and lunch will be provided for a nominal fee. Meet at 7:45 AM in the parking lot inside the gate house at the Ohio Department Natural Resources Complex, 2045 Morse Road, Columbus. You will need to complete the Dept. of Natural Area's volunteer form to participate in this activity. We will return to ODNR by 5:00 on Sunday.
