GWINNETT COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY

Do you Enjoy Sewing?

The Gwinnett County Public Library's Learning Labs offer sewing programs to the public. We are looking for experienced dressmakers, tailors, seamstresses, alteration specialists, designers, patternmakers, and other sewing professionals and hobbyists to volunteer their time! We primarily work with Janome Sewing Machines & Sergers as well as Brother Sewing & Embroidery machines. Our programs span from showing kids and teens the basics of sewing, to teaching anyone how to hem pants, to more advanced projects including a Teen Fashion Design showcase.

Invest your skill and time in helping others learn the valuable and satisfying art of sewing. Times and days vary depending on the Learning Lab location. Our Centerville and Hamilton Mill locations have the biggest need for volunteers.
