The SoulDeevas are looking for committed choreographers to serve as coaches for its Hip-Hop Majorette Dance team serving a small group of girls (grades K to Collegiate). While an interest and experience in the Hip-Hop Majorette style of dance is ideal - solid experience in hip-hop and contemporary dance is most important. The Hip-Hop Majorette style of dance is fairly new in the Northeast - so we have some autonomy to set the standard for how it should look.

As coach, you would be responsible for training the girls for performances and competitions, but also helping them develop the proper skills to excel in various genres of dance. All of our teams practice on Saturdays from 1:30pm to 3:30pm in the Midtown section of Manhattan (8th Avenue/West 35th Street). You would be working alongside other coaches and team assistants who will help with coverage should you need to be absent. We have three teams in NYC: Minis (Grades K-5); Seniors (Grades 6-10); Collegiate (Grades 11-Age 25). Because they all practice at the same time, you can only choose one team.

We are looking for someone who can start now as the girls are starting to prepare for competitions. We will consider a recent HS graduate who has significant dance experience. There is great opportunity for growth for the right person!
