Hospice Volunteers are an integral part of Kindred's philosophy. Hospice volunteers are there to hold a hand and lister, read or write a letter, run errands or even help out in the office. Volunteer are there to step in when a family member needs a break and they are there for the family and friends after their loved one has passed away. No matter what your skills, talents or motivation, we have the opportunity for you to help. Patient Visitor Volunteer, Bereavement Volunteers, Veteran to Veteran Volunteers, Administrative Volunteers, and Specialty Volunteers (Music, Hair Dressers and Barbers, license must be current, and Vigil Volunteers are needed.
Volunteers receive training appropriate to each volunteer position. Background Checks, Drug Screens and TB test are required before orientation and are provided free of charge.
