A Baby Bonobo in the wild.

Do you have an interest in wildlife conservation efforts and are a skilled event coordinator? The Bonobo Conservation Initiative is looking for a volunteer event coordinator in NYC to help with a fundraiser we are hosting this spring (event will be May 8th or 9th). We are looking for someone with experience putting on an event. We'll be having a press conference at the UN. We need help lining up AV equipment, securing the venue room, ensuring proper security is in place, etc. along any other logistics leading up to/during the event.

Bonobo Conservation Initiative (BCI) is the only international organization solely dedicated to protecting bonobos, a highly endangered species of great ape. BCI's mission is to protect bonobos, preserve their tropical rainforest habitat, and empower local communities in the Congo Basin. By working with local Congolese people through cooperative conservation and community development programs, and by shaping national and international policy, BCI is establishing new protected areas and leading efforts to safeguard bonobos wherever they are found.
