Nursing and medical students, do you need volunteer/service hours for school, or desire more experience working with medically fragile patients? We can help!

Carter Hospice is looking for individuals to volunteer their time and talents with our patients that are facing end of life issues. Volunteers are needed in the greater Kansas City area, in both Kansas and Missouri. Training is provided; all you need is a heart for serving! A variety of experiences are available, and we work with your schedule!

-As a companion you may sit with a patient, read a story, engage in conversation, share a laugh, sometimes allowing the patient’s main caregiver to get out of the house to run errands or do some self care.

-Administrative Volunteers are just as important and help with phone calls or patient mailings from our office or your own home.

-You can even recruit volunteers at job fairs or by dropping off flyers at various locations.

Your time and talents, whatever they may be, will be appreciated, and we will work with your schedule! Do something worthwhile this year!
