INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL WORK SOLUTIONS INC
International Social Work Solutions, Inc (ISWS) is a small start-up nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide vulnerable, under-served communities around the globe with access to experienced social work volunteers. ISWS embraces and promotes the social work values of service, social justice, human dignity, and cultural competence in its efforts to support international communities faced with poverty, exploitation, and marginalization. Pre-pandemic, we did this by providing funding to masters level social workers for travel and in-country expenses for direct partnering with local organizations.
Since Covid-19, we have shifted our focus to remote programming and supporting in-country programming.
The ISWS board of directors is a small but quite active and committed group. We are looking for someone with a development background with an emphasis on grant writing and/or fundraising to fill an open seat. Knowledge of nonprofit governance or international social work is not necessary. All of the meetings which are every other month, are remote at this time.

Social worker volunteers strengthen individuals, families and communities by providing practical solutions to the most vulnerable populations around the world. They address a myriad of social problems such as assisting in the rehabilitation of people who have been traumatized by violence, sexual exploitation, and displacement, as well as conducting training programs and psychosocial needs assessments for social service agencies around the world. Through global networking, social work volunteers bring social work practice to the neediest among us. Since the pandemic has made travel unsafe, ISWS has shifted to a remote model of supporting in-country programming with virtual trainings, assisting with program development and utilizing in-country staff.
International Social Work Solutions, Inc raises money to give to eligle social workers to help defray the costs of global volunteering.
We'll work with your schedule.
