Massachusetts Horticultural Society is planning an online auction and we'd love your help with this exciting new fundraiser for our educational programs and gardens! The online auction will go live in June 2019 and last for approximately 3 weeks. We are looking for 4 or 5 volunteers to work with Elaine Lawrence, our Director of Development, to track donations, manage the online auction postings on the BiddingforGood website, i.e. upload photos and a brief description of donated items, and fulfill/send out the items after the auction ends in June.
Volunteers will meet with staff once or twice to get organized. Most work can then be done remotely in the coming months leading up to the auction. After the auction, volunteers are needed on one or two days in June to organize pick up or delivery of the auction items to the highest bidders. Volunteers should be organized and experience with Excel and Google Docs is helpful.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience in nonprofit fundraising, to network, and to support our environmental education programs.
If you are interested in joining the team or if you have any questions, please email Amy Rodrigues, Mass Hort's Volunteer Engagement Manager, at arodrigues@masshort.org.
Thank you!
