This volunteer opportunity would be perfect for someone who likes driving, being out and about in the community, someone that likes having a routine, someone able to handle the physical demands and pass a background check. SUMMARY:
This volunteer position is responsible for delivery of Senior Scene Newspapers and Where to Turn Booklet and related items to specified distribution locations each month throughout Pierce County.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
( including the following. Other duties may be assigned. )

1. Provide proof of a valid driver's license.
2. Provide proof and carry adequate car insurance.
3. Have a good driving record.
4. Have a safe, reliable vehicle, capable of carrying sufficient quantities of newspapers
5. Be available to deliver newspapers on a regular monthly basis

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met/may be encountered by a volunteer to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the volunteer is regularly required to drive safely, carry bundles of newspapers and cases of resource guides, and utilize communication skills such as talking, listening, and writing. The volunteer is normally engaged in moderate-activity tasks such as carrying, stacking, sitting, standing and walking. The volunteer must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The work environment is a mixture including a professional office, outdoor driving to and from delivery sites, carrying newspapers from car to site; the noise level is usually moderate.
