ORGANIZATION: Rebuilding Together Valley of the Sun

Skilled volunteers to lead repair and ramp projects. The Home Hero is responsible for client communication, oversight, work scopes and volunteer supervision of all assigned projects.

Qualifications include:

  • Collaboration and coordination of all work required on a specific job
  • Development of work scope and budget
  • Recruiting and communication with project volunteers
  • Work with staff and volunteers to procure materials for project
  • Submission of all receipts for project
  • Strict budget adherence
  • Assignment and oversight of volunteers on project date
  • Communication with homeowners as to the scope of work to be done
  • Completion of projects and necessary documentation
Training:
  • Home Repair Best Practice video training
  • RT ramp building 101
  • Project orientation
  • RT staff support

Time Commitment:The Home hero position requires time prior to the work day to meet the homeowner, review the site and projects, promote the project date with volunteer base, compile volunteer information and coordinate project day needs. The Home hero is responsible for maintaining contact with RT staff. The Home hero is also responsible for ensuring supplies and materials are on site before the work day.
