Community Resources' Academic Mentors Project creates opportunities for high achieving, ambitious 5th - 12th grade students who have a passion or interest in a particular topic to connect with community volunteers who share the same passion. We are currently recruiting a nurse or nursing student to work with an ambitious 5th grade female student who is interested in nursing. Are you interested in sharing what you love to do with a young person? If so, this volunteer opportunity is for you! Mentors are asked to commit to a total of six hours over the course of 3 to 6 meetings with the student. All Academic Mentorships start and end in the current school year. For more information, please visit Community Resources' website www.communityresourcesinc.org or contact Laura Kent at laura_kent@dpsk12.org.
