ARCK is hosting our newest community event, entitled Miles of Murals: Walls that Speak. This event is aiming to build bridges between different aspects of our Boston community. We will feature artwork from mural artists as well as work in collaboration with students at the schools that we support. Everyone in the city is invited to attend the event. It will be a fun day with a festival set-up, with activities along the road of the mural and a lot with vendors and food. To conclude the day, there will be a gallery showing and an after-party. To help all of this come together we are going to need volunteers for the following aspects:

Check-in/Registration
Selling t-shirts
Overseeing path
Gallery
Set-up
Take-down

please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Mission Statement

Art Resource Collaborative for Kids (ARCK)’s mission is to empower students through high-quality arts education that fosters culture and community while supporting schools’ learning objectives.

Description

Founded in 2012, ARCK has been using art as a vehicle for social impact to engage underserved students to innovate. We partner with Boston Public Schools teaching K-8 students to deliver arts integration programming for 36 weeks. Our trained teaching artists and classroom teachers offer weekly, in-school arts integration lessons free of charge through ARCK’s core three modules: Leadership, Civic Engagement, and Social Justice. Our lessons promote social-emotional skills such as emotion management, collaboration, empathy, exploring sustainable projects specifically using waste management products for upcycling solutions.
