Science-Educator-in-Training (SET)
Science Educator in Training (SET) teens (14-18 years old) volunteer with summer camps located at Pacific Science Center, as well as at seven other locations around Puget Sound where they provide support for camp instructors by assisting with activities and aiding educators, leading games/songs and providing extra support for campers.
SET volunteers must have a strong interest in science, be motivated to work with young children, and accept the responsibility of being a positive, enthusiastic role model for campers. SETs must complete an application , obtain references, pass a background check, and attend mandatory interview and training to participate in the program. A commitment to a schedule of volunteering at least two summer weeks, Monday-Friday, is required.
SET application deadline is February 5, 2019.
