The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Ventura is looking for arts & crafts enthusiast to bring their creativity to our young members. Club are looking for an arts & crafts minded volunteer to broaden the arts and crafts programs for the first through fifth graders and our teen programs.

Description: The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Ventura - Addison Center is looking for volunteer arts teachers to bring fun and creative art projects to the younger members (first grade through fifth grade).

Time/day: 1 hour - any day Monday through Friday


Tasks include:

  • Prepare arts projects for first through fifth grade members
  • Advise the program staff member of any materials that are needed for the art project ahead of time
  • Help the program staff member to set up the project in the teen room and help clean up at the end of the session
  • Provide age appropriate instruction to the members on how to complete the art project
  • Positively interact with the members, while being encouraging of the member’s art ability

Requirements: Boys & Girls Club Volunteer Application, Passed Background Investigation

The Boys & Girls Club of Ventura is a 72 year old youth-serving organization dedicated to improving the lives of children. We serve over 6500 youth and families a year. Our four sites in Ventura, Oak View and Saticoy are open year-round after-school and in the summertime to all youth between the ages of 6 to 18 regardless of race, religion, culture, gender, sexual orientation or financial considerations.
