Mission Statement

Our Mission... To assist Veterans and their families who are in need of social services and information to improve their lives and to assist them in maintaining their independence. This is accomplished through direct contact with Veterans and their families, limited financial assistance, counseling, employment referrals, a food and clothing bank, and through a network of referrals to other Veterans groups, government and other social service agencies.

Why Join Our Mission?

1. Veterans. When you hear the title a sense of honor and valor come to mind. These proud men and women who fight for our freedom and keep our flag flying high have done their part. They have sacrificed countless moments with loved ones, physical and emotional wellbeing all in the name of freedom. They deserve to come home knowing that there are people willing to extend a helping hand.
2. In Marion County we created the first in the State of Florida a one-stop Veterans Resource Center, to take care of the needs of these veterans coming home. We want to make it as easy and accessible for them to get the help they need. We want them to know the struggle is over, we're here to help, make them feel welcome and appreciated.
3. 3. 85 cents of every dollar you donate goes to financial assistance, housing, rent subsidy, utility payments, food and clothing assistance, gas vouchers, job assistance, peer counseling and other services as needed.
