- A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
The Guest Chef Program is a way for individuals and small groups (2 to 6 people) to share their love of cooking or baking for our participants.
The Center is currently seeking Guest Chefs to prepare either a lunch on Mondays, brunch on Wednesdays, or breakfast on Fridays
Guest Chefs will be responsible for the purchase of supplies for the meal.
Guest Chefs can cook their meal in our on-site kitchen or off-site deliver it to our facility.
Guest Chefs will be responsible for the cleaning of all dishes used for meal prep and serving.
We usually expect to feed between 15- 30 participants depending on the day.
Most of our participants stay in our groups to have a meal each day.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to be an organization devoted to healing and centered on individual wellness and community, to be an advocate for those in Hollywood without shelter, and to lead and collaborate with others to develop and implement solutions that lead to resilience and housing. We believe that providing someone a home is not enough without the support of an inclusive community. Every day we provide a safe and encouraging space for those experiencing homelessness on our streets. The Center’s staff creates and sustains an environment where participants are encouraged to thrive and flourish through groups and community engagement. The Center has become a hub of leadership in the fight to end chronic homelessness in Los Angeles.
Description
* We believe that providing a welcoming, safe and healing community is a first step to ending isolation and creating opportunities for future housing.
* We are committed to remaining a trauma informed center that engenders trust, safety, consistent boundaries, and a place where individuals can make their own decisions about program participation and housing.
* We accept and work with our participants wherever they are in their lives.
* We believe in treating all people with dignity, respect and an understanding that we are part of one community.
* We are committed to collaboration to accomplish our mission because no single agency can solve isolation and homelessness.
* We believe that an integrated approach will be most successful in meeting the needs of a diverse homeless population.
