The Dayton AFS area team is a group of dedicated volunteers who recruit and support host families for high school exchange students placed in area schools, provide programming for these students and families, and also recruit and prepare American students to study abroad with our organization. Our volunteers do many different tasks, from leading orientations to providing monthly contact and support to our placed students and families, planning social activities, conducting family and student interviews, and many other tasks.
The team meets regularly and also does some fund raising locally to provide extra funds for the benefit of our programs, students and families.
We are always seeking new volunteers to add to our group and bring new ideas and energy to the team.
